1. Wealthy homosexual activist advises ‘active measures' against religious opponents
Los Angeles, Calif., Oct 16, 2009 / 03:55 am (Catholic News Agency).- Delivering an acceptance speech for a GLSEN award, a wealthy homosexual activist has attacked Catholic leaders, saying they are among his movement's "greatest adversaries." He called on his allies to combat "head-on" religious organizations opposed to homosexual causes and to take "active measures" against them. At its Oct. 9 Respect Awards event in Los Angeles, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) honored David Bohnett, the cable network HBO and screenwriter Shonda Rhimes with its Lifetime Achievement Award. They were awarded for what GLSEN called "their commitment to all America's students, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity/expression."
[Snip]
Bohnett then used his acceptance speech to attack religious groups opposed to homosexual political concerns.
"We must treat the causes of intolerance and bullying as well as the symptoms of them," he remarked. "And as we see most often, it is the evangelical and fundamentalist groups that teach homosexuality is a sin, who stand in the way of fairness and equality.
"It's time to combat head-on the religious organizations that are funding the opposition to marriage equality and safe school legislation."
The GLSEN honoree said he favored "the pursuit of spirituality" and "the wisdom and comfort and experience that can be gained through the study and belief in a higher power."
He also said it was important to support religious leaders and institutions that embrace "full equality" for homosexuals and their families.
"Let us make it known, however, that we will challenge those religious leaders and institutions that shamefully and cowardly use the imprimatur of their church and the name of god [sic] and Jesus to promote hatred and bigotry toward lesbians and gay men," Bohnett declared. "Among our greatest adversaries who actively work against us are the leaders of the Catholic, Mormon, and evangelical churches who seek to deny equal protection for us and for our children."
"The bible [sic] is all too often used as a weapon against us, quoted and mis-quoted by those who seek to deny us freedom and equality," he continued, arguing that children taught that the Bible condemns homosexuality may become "school bullies" and later become the adults who vote "to deny marriage equality."
"It's time we raise our children to be independent thinkers and deeply suspicious of bible beating organized religion. We'd be much better off if parents were honest with their children about the hypocrisy of some churches with regard to homosexuality."
[Snip]
Bohnett declared that "many groups and individuals" are supportive of GLSEN's "quest for safe schools and full civil equality."
"On the other hand, there are other groups and individuals who actively work against our efforts, and that our work in education and outreach further emboldens their hatred and zeal to deny us our equal rights. Let us say to these folks; ‘we condemn their intolerance' and we will expose their hypocrisy, choke off their financial support, and shine the bright light of shame and humiliation on their cowardly prejudices."
Bohnett's speech is evidence of a growing trend in which churches and religious groups are targets of vocal criticism.

Harry Knox, a leader with the homosexual activist group Human Rights Campaign and an appointee to President Barack Obama's advisory council on faith-based partnerships, has called Pope Benedict XVI and Catholic bishops "discredited leaders" and has attacked the Knights of Columbus as an "army of oppression" for their work to preserve the definition of marriage as a union between a man and a woman.
According to the GLSEN website, the group claims a national network of 10,000 "students and allies working to create safer schools." It reports that more than 3,000 student clubs commonly known as "gay-straight alliances" have registered with the organization.
President Barack Obama appointed GLSEN founder Kevin Jennings as director of the Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools, the "Safe School Czar."
Jennings, a former teacher, has come under fire for not referring to the police a male student who came to him for advice after being involved in a sexual incident with a man he met in a bathroom. Critics also question his qualifications for the office because of his past drug use and his praise for Harry Hay, a homosexual activist connected with the pedophile group NAMBLA.

2. Lawyers Call for Changes in International Law to Help ‘Climate Exiles' (More muslims in our future?)
(Catholic News Service, October 16, 2009) - International law dealing with refugees should be amended to cover people affected by disasters attributed to climate change, environmental lawyers are arguing.
With the United Nations and others predicting upward of 200 million people being displaced by 2050 as a result of environmental changes, the London-based Foundation for International Environmental Law and Development (FIELD) says they will need help dealing with "statelessness and compensation."
"International refugee law focuses on those who are persecuted for political, racial or religious reasons," the organization's director, Joy Hyvarinen, said in a statement Thursday. "It was not designed for those who are left homeless by environmental pressures."

3. Liberal Editor Suggests Making the Recession 'Worse'
(Catholic News Service, October 16, 2009) - Emily Douglas, Web editor for The Nation magazine, said Wednesday that making the "recession worse" and making goods "more expensive" for Americans are means to reduce consumerism and preserve the environment.
Douglas was one of three journalists participating in a panel discussion, "Covering Climate: What's Population Got to Do With It," which was held at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington, D.C. The other two panelists were Dennis Dimick, executive editor of National Geographic, and Andrew Revkin, environmental reporter for The New York Times (who participated via Web camera).
An audience member who identified herself as an employee of the U.S. Agency for International Development, the federal agency that distributes foreign aid, asked the speakers: "Do either one of you have any idea what it's going to take to reverse our culture of consumerism here in the United States?"
Douglas immediately replied: "Make the recession worse."
In response to follow-up questions from CNSNews.com after the event, Douglas said that this was a "tongue-in-cheek answer."
At the panel discussion, however, the moderator asked Douglas for her final thoughts, and she addressed both the question about curbing American consumerism and a statement an audience member had made about advocates of man made climate-change painting doomsday scenarios.
"Well, The Nation never shies away from doomsday scenarios," said Douglas. "So, a funny story is that when they did--they've done, two climate change issues, or they are going to do another one in November and they did one in 2006--and there was an article about flying. And the conclusion of the article was that if we want to have intercontinental travel, we are going to have to travel by blimps. So, I felt that was The Nation being very doctrinaire and extreme, but probably not wrong."
She continued: "But to the point about consumption: Yeah, I think things should be more expensive and that would do a lot and certainly reflect the, you know, better reflect the price of their, their real, their real price."
Douglas later told CNSNews.com that this response was meant to follow-up on a statement by Dennis Dimick of National Geographic "who argued that the prices of goods should reflect the true environmental cost of producing them."
The Nation magazine Web editor defended her position on increasing the cost of goods by arguing that it would give Americans an incentive to "buy less."
"If goods are more expensive, it stands to reason that Americans will buy less of them," she told CNSNews.com.

4. 'Safe schools' chief [Sodomite Jennings, Obama appointee] was member of radical Act Up -- Jennings now responsible for public school students
October 15, 2009
By Bob Unruh
© 2009 WorldNetDaily
The man chosen by the Obama administration to head the Department of Education's Office of Safe Schools was an activist with the radical pro-homosexual organization Act Up, known for its aggressive badgering of those who don't support the homosexual lifestyle, according to a new report.
Mass Resistance, a pro-family organization in Massachusetts that has battled over homosexual agenda points there, has posted online a report and video documenting Kevin Jennings' participation in the extremist organization.
The video shows Jeff Davis, Jennings' "partner," addressing a banquet and saying of Jennings, "He was a member of Act Up. Act Up! So it's like - you know - here's a big gay activist. BIG gay activist!."

Queering our schools: More dangerous ideas from Obama's 'safe schools czar' [Sodomite Jennings, Obama appointee]
Washington Times, October 16, 2009 Editorial
Fifty-three Republican congressmen yesterday demanded that President Obama fire his embattled "safe schools czar," Kevin Jennings. Mr. Jennings' bizarre sexual agenda for American grade schools is one reason the president should dump this dangerous radical.
Mr. Jennings wrote the foreword to a 1998 book titled, "Queering Elementary Education." The book he endorsed was a collection of essays by different authors who supported teaching young children about homosexuality. Mr. Jennings' foreword explains why he thinks it is important to start educating children about homosexuality as early as activist-educators can get away with doing so. "Ask any elementary-school teachers you know and - if they're honest - they'll tell you they start hearing [anti-homosexual prejudice] as soon as kindergarten." And "As one third-grader put it plainly when asked by her teacher what 'gay' meant: 'I don't know. It's just a bad thing.' "

5. Lieberman pushing pro-homosexual measures
Jim Brown - OneNewsNow - October 15, 2009
Senator Joe Lieberman is working hard to advance two top legislative priorities of homosexual activists in Washington.
Senator Lieberman (I-Connecticut) earlier this year introduced the Domestic Partner Benefits and Obligations Act of 2009 (S. 1102), which would extend spousal benefits to the same-sex partners of federal government employees. Those benefits would include federal health insurance, enhanced dental and vision care, retirement and disability provisions and life insurance and benefits in cases of death or disability.
Lieberman tells The Hill newspaper that he hopes to get the bill onto the Senate floor by the end of the year.
Matt Barber, director of cultural affairs with Liberty Counsel, says he finds it unfortunate that during an economic recession, liberals are "holding Americans hostage to a radical social agenda."
"[I]f this were to pass, [taxpayers would be] forced to subsidize a lifestyle that every major world religion and thousands of years of history have held to be immoral and destructive from a spiritual and emotional -- and certainly a physical standpoint," states Barber.
In addition, the White House is reportedly talking with Lieberman about strategies for repealing the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy -- a policy which President Barack Obama promised a pro-homosexual gathering last Saturday that he would push to abolish. That policy bans homosexual from serving openly in the military.

6. William and Mary students elect transgender homecoming queen
Washington Post | October 24, 2009
Students at the College of William and Mary have elected a transgender homecoming queen.
Jessee Vasold took the field Saturday at halftime of the Williamsburg school's football game against James Madison. The junior and other members of the homecoming court were introduced to the crowd and posed for pictures.
Vasold identifies as "genderqueer," a term for those who don't adhere to either strictly male or strictly female gender roles.
7. Women In Combat
Female Warriors Engage in Combat in Iraq, Afghanistan
ABC News | 10/25/2009 | Martha Raddatz
The image of young women in a hot , dusty combat zone toting automatic weapons is still startling to some.
But right now there are 10,000 women serving in Iraq, more than 4,000 in Aghanistan. They have been fighting and dying next to their male comrades since the wars began.
"I can't help but think most Americans think women aren't in combat," says Specialist Ashley Pullen who was awarded a Bronze Star for valor in 2005 for her heroic action in Iraq where she served with a military police unit. "We're here and we're right up with the guys."
Technically they're restricted from certain combat roles. The Department of Defense prohibits women from serving in assignments "whose primary mission is to engage in direct combat on the ground."
Nevertheless, women serving in support positions on and off the frontlines, where war is waged on street corners and in markets, are often at equal risk. There have been 103 women who have been killed in Iraq and 15 others in Afghanistan.
What women can or cannot do in combat is not always clear in today's wars, and many say that the Department of Defense and Congress should reevaluate women's roles in modern warfare.
As female aviators, military police officers, and civil affairs officers, about 80 percent of the positions in the Department of Defense and 70 percent in the Army are available to women, according to a RAND study. Women make up about 11 percent of the forces deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.
Covering their own hair, women Marines in Afghanistan are part of female engagement teams that reach out to Muslim women, and as intelligence officers investigating those who may be infiltrating the communities.

8. 'Gay History Month' - being pushed in schools.
Posted on Tuesday, October 27, 2009
October is 'Gay History Month' - being pushed in schools. Radical "history" includes founders of modern porn movement.
It's another one of those things that most parents don't even know is happening. And school officials like it that way.
Barack Obama declared June to be "Gay Pride Month." April is reserved for the homosexual "Day of Silence" in public schools. But for the last dozen years the homosexual movement has pushed October as "Gay History Month" as an "educational" experience for schoolchildren across America, including encouraging kids to "come out". And this year is as strong as ever.
It's yet another way to normalize homosexuality in the minds of children. Throughout "Gay History Month", activist teachers and administrators attempt to have kids believe that many historical events had homosexual underpinnings, and that many historical figures (e.g., Eleanor Roosevelt, Alexander the Great, etc.) were actually homosexual. Just about all of this is factually incorrect or taken far out of context. But it's ideology that matters to them.
Gay History Month was started in the 1990s by national homosexual activists to coincide with "National Coming Out Day", which takes near Columbus Day every year. As schools (even middle schools!) began to celebrate "Coming Out Day" they decided to expand it to "out" well-known people in history and give a "gay" meaning to historical events.

9. ALMOST FIFTY PERCENT OF MAINE VOTERS APPROVE OF SODOMITE MARRIAGE
You are probably aware that in the elections of November 2009 the people of the state of Maine by referenda only very narrowly overturned their law permitting sodomite marriages. One report stated that it was barely over 50 percent who voted to repeal the law. That means that almost 50 percent of the voters in Maine wanted to keep the law allowing same-sex marriages.
The article excerpted below reveals the true agenda of the sodomites in America including the targeting of children.
The Pain In Maine II (Homosexual Militant Admits Target is Children)
The Daily Dish | Nov 3, 2009 | Andrew Sullivan
Andrew Sullivan: The truth about civil marriage - why it is the essential criterion for gay equality - is that it alone explodes this core marginalization and invisibility of gay people. It alone can reach those gay kids who need to know they have a future as a dignified human being with a family. It alone tells society that gay people are equal in their loves and in their hearts and in their families - not just useful in a society with a need for talented or able individuals whose private lives remain perforce sequestered from view.
This is why it remains the prize. And why our eyes must remain fixed upon it. In my view, the desperate nature of the current tactics against us, the blatant use of fear around children (which both worries parents and also stigmatizes gay people in one, deft swoop) are signs that what we are demanding truly, truly matters.

10. Washington Times EDITORIAL: Obama's risky-sex czar
Deacember 9, 2009
Education official involved in teaching 14-year-olds strange sex techniques
WARNING: This editorial includes discussion of topics that are sexually graphic. Under usual circumstances, we would never entertain these subjects or the rancid language involved. In this case, however, a very unusual exception must be made because the issues are central to the background of a senior presidential appointee at the U.S. Department of Education who is in a position to influence how and what our children are taught in our nation's schools. Thus far, out of fear or squeamishness, there has been public hesitance to examine closely the beliefs of this individual because many are afraid even to touch the risky content. Our scruples cannot be used against us when traditional moral precepts need to be defended. Simply, the deep level of depravity involved in this subject cannot be portrayed without providing a couple of examples to illustrate the inappropriate content. Please do not read any further if you will be offended by sexually graphic language.
The Obama administration is stonewalling serious inquiries about sexual filth propagated by a senior presidential appointee who is responsible for promoting and implementing federal education policy. Democrats clearly are terrified of ruffling the feathers of their activist homosexual supporters, who are an influential part of the Democratic party's base. This scandal, however, is not merely about homosexual behavior; it is about promoting sex between children and adults - and it's time for President Obama to make clear that abetting such illegal perversion has no place in his administration.

11. Kevin Jennings, "Safe" Schools, and the Obama Administration
JEFFHEAD.COM | December 9, 2009 | Jeff Head
Kevin Jennings, Safe Schools Czar, Homosexuality, and the Obama administration
Kevin Jennings, the appointed "Safe School" Czar by the Obama administration, has a depraved, sick, and perverted sense of safety in American schools. The organization he directed for many years, the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network was designed to attract otherwise "straight" children and recruit them into the Gay Lesbian lifestyle.
Jennings became the "Safe School" Czar after holding the position of Gay-Lesbian-Bisexual fund-raising co-chair in the Obama campaign.
In a 1990 "report" for the Massachusetts Governor's Commission on Gay and Lesbian youth, Jennings is the individual who proposed taking the term "safe schools" and changing its meaning to mean a pro-homosexual school where it was "Safe" to teach homsexual behavior to children.
This is what he is really all about...it is what his "mission" is.
And Obama knows it and approves of it. It is another part of Obama's sick "change" for America.
In order to understand Jennings (and by extension the administration that appiinted him) one muct understand his hatred for conservative values and for religion. He knows that his own lifestyle choices and perversion is rejected and labeled for the sin it is by those who believe the Bible and seek to follow the commandments of Jesus Christ.
In his memoir, "Mama's Boy, Preacher's Son", Jennings is clearly full of bitterness toward Southern Baptists in particular, which is how Jennings was raised and which, to this day is still the country's largest Protestant denomination. This anger , resentment and bitterness comes out from time to time in Jennings public speeches. For example, in a speech he gave in a more "tolerant", more "safe" church in New York in 2000, he said:
"We have to quit being afraid of the religious right. . . . I'm trying not to say, ‘[F---] ‘em!' which is what I want to say, because I don't care what they think! Drop dead!"
While teaching at the Concord Academy, a private boarding school in Massachusetts, a sophmore at the school confided in Jennings that he had met a man at a bathroom in a bus station and gone home with the man to have homosexual sex. Rather than report this potentially illegal and dangerous act to authorities (even if the boy was the minimum age of "legal consent" in Massachusetts, which is 16 years of age...yes, that's right, in Massachusetts a 16 year old child can have sex legally with a 45 year old adult if they consent), Jennings himself indicates that his only response to the boy was to say, "I hope you knew to use a condom."
Jennings wrote the foreword for a book entitled "Queering Elementary Education", which includes an essay that indicates that "‘queerly raised' children are agents" who should employ "strategies of adaptation, negotiation, resistance, and subversion," to others.
Is it no wonder then that this crazed, decrepid, and depraved individual has given lectures to children, using Massachusetts tax monies and state employees that teach children how to engage in graphic homosexual sex?
He wants and intends to do the same all across America.
Again, the American people have to understand that this is more of Obama's fundamental change he promised to bring to America, and that in implementing that change, the Obama administration continues to apply Alinsky's Rules for Radicals to our entire society.
25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy.
The fact is...and such appointements as Jennings make it all the more clear, Obama doesn't care about what you or I or anyone else thinks as he goes about radicalizing and changing America.
He didn't go to the White House to be popular, he went there to bring this fundmental change and he has been going about it very effectively since becoming President.
He and his cohorts caused the economic mess that helped usher him into the Presidency. They hate the free market and they hate fundamental republican principle. Since being elected they have methodically and with a will attacked both of these institutions and harmed them terribly. They are doing the same to the underlying moral fiber of our nation.
It is their intent to bring them all down and build a marxist command economy on their ashes. Everything they are doing reflects this. From the stimulus, to the bail-outs, to the health care monstrosity, to Cap & Trade, FOCA, their Education policy, and on and on.
And all of what he has implemented are producing success from Obama's point of view. They are accomplishing exactly what he wants...he does not want to repair the economy, the auto industry, the banking and credit industries, energy, health care, traditional education, etc., etc. as most Americans would define repairing them. He wants to fix it as in "the fix is in", as in controlling it.
And that is exactly what he is doing.
Obama, Pelosi, Reid, and their cohorts will lie, blow smoke, deceive, cajole, and give as many speeches, presentations, addresses to congress, etc. as it takes to draw this out so they can continue progressing towards these goals. When you understand this about him and his administration and the cohorts in the House and Senate...everything else then comes into focus.
And we can, and must stop it. 2010 will be a banner and critical year in doing so. What we start in 2010, we must then finish with finaloty in 2012. Barack Hussein Obama deserves a thrashing as overwhelming as Walter Mondale'slandslide l;osss in 1984. Pray God we can deliver it.
12. Nude Pose May Yet Block Brown from Taking Senate Seat
23 January 2010 by John Semmens
Posted on Free Republic Saturday, January 23, 2010 4:53:08 PM by John Semmens
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev) is reportedly "very uncomfortable" with the idea of newly elected Senator Scott Brown (R-Mass) "sitting amongst us in the Senate." The reason: in 1982, Brown posed nude for Cosmo magazine.
"The people expect that Senators will exhibit only the highest levels of decorum and integrity," Reid said. "I'm not sure that Scott Brown lives up to this expectation."
Reid pointed out that "each chamber of Congress is responsible for deciding whether a person shall be accepted into the body. So, we could vote not to seat Brown if we feel that doing so would diminish the respect voters have for all of us."
The Majority leader brushed aside criticisms that Congress has accepted tax cheats among its ranks and as appointees to the Executive Branch. "Everybody cheats on their taxes," Reid argued. "Why should we single out those who get caught and exclude them from government?"
Reid also rejected the late Senator Ted Kennedy's questionable behavior in the death of Mary Jo Kopechne being used as a standard of reference for how low the body might stoop regarding the quality of its membership, calling such comparisons "unfair and unkind considering the illustrious legislative record Senator Kennedy compiled in the years following that unfortunate tragedy."
In related news, MSNBC pundit Keith Olbermann urged that the special election vote for Brown be overturned due to its implicitly racist overtones. "Here we have America's first African-American President politely asking Massachusetts voters to send Martha Coakley to the Senate to help him pass healthcare," Olbermann said. "But exit polls showed that the majority of Massachusetts' white voters dissed the President's request. We can't let white voters in one state impede the policies of a black man elected by a majority of the voters in America."
